YCB gear pump is a rotary pump that relies on the variation and movement of the working volume between the pump cylinder and the meshing gear to transport liquid or increase pressure.
The structure of an external meshing double gear pump. The tooth shape is a double arc sine curve, with a pair of meshing gears and pump cylinders separating the suction and discharge chambers. When the gear rotates, the volume between the teeth at the separation point of the suction chamber side teeth gradually increases, the pressure decreases, and the liquid enters the teeth under the pressure difference. As the gears rotate, the liquid between each tooth is carried to the discharge chamber. At this point, the volume between the teeth at the meshing point of the gear teeth on the discharge chamber gradually decreases, and the liquid is discharged. Gear pumps are suitable for conveying lubricating liquids that do not contain solid particles, are non corrosive, and have a large viscosity range. The flow rate of the pump can reach 300 m3/h, and the pressure can reach 3 × 107 Pa. It is usually used as a hydraulic pump and to transport various types of oil products. The gear pump has a simple and compact structure, is easy to manufacture, and is easy to maintain. It has self suction capacity, but the flow and pressure pulsations are large and the noise is loud. Gear pumps need to be equipped with safety valves to prevent damage to the pump or prime mover due to reasons such as blockage of the discharge pipe, which may cause the outlet pressure of the pump to exceed the allowable value. The opening pressure of the safety valve is generally 1.5 times the working pressure.
Working principle of YCB gear pump:
YCB gear pump is a type of positive displacement pump, which consists of two gears, a pump body, and a front and rear cover to form two enclosed spaces. When the gears rotate, the volume of the space on the disengaged side of the gears increases from small to large, forming a vacuum that sucks in the liquid. The volume of the space on the meshing side of the gears decreases from large to small, and the liquid is squeezed into the pipeline. The suction and discharge chambers are separated by the meshing lines of two gears.
The pressure at the discharge port of a gear pump depends entirely on the resistance at the pump outlet.
Operation and maintenance of YCB gear pump:
(1) Before starting, check the sealing of all pipeline flanges and joints.
(2) Disc coupling, no friction or collision sound.
(3) Firstly, the pump should be injected with liquid for delivery.
(4) Before starting, the valves in the suction and discharge pipelines should be fully opened, and it is strictly prohibited to close the valves for starting.
(5) After verifying the direction of motor rotation, start the motor.
Fault and maintenance:
(1) Fault phenomenon: The pump cannot discharge material
Cause of malfunction: a. The rotation direction is opposite; b. Close the suction or discharge valve; c. There is no material at the inlet or the pressure is too low; d. The viscosity is too high, and the pump cannot bite the material
Countermeasure: a. Confirm the direction of rotation; b. Confirm whether the valve is closed; c. Check valves and pressure gauges; d. Check the viscosity of the liquid and check if there is a flow rate proportional to the rotational speed when running at low speed. If there is a flow rate, it indicates insufficient flow
(2) Fault phenomenon: Insufficient pump flow rate
Cause of malfunction: a. The suction or discharge valve is closed; b. Low inlet pressure; c. Blocked outlet pipeline; d. Leakage of packing box; e. Speed too low
Countermeasure: a. Confirm whether the valve is closed; b. Check if the valve is open; c. Confirm whether the discharge volume is normal; d. Tighten; When a large amount of leakage affects production, the operation should be stopped and disassembled for inspection; e. Check the actual speed of the pump shaft;
